Presentation of our Company

In 1992, we took over the products that had been developed and manufactured by Timanders Mekaniska Verkstad AB for the past 25 years.

Back in the 1920s, the founder of this company, Timander, took out a patent for a wood-saw blade with unequal tooth pitch. He developed machines for saw-blade production at the saw-blade factory that was the biggest in Sweden at that time. His practical work on the machines led to gradual improvements. Around 100 machines are currently in operation around the world for making saw-blades and handsaws.

The saw blade machines we produce today include servo drives and are controlled by PLC . One operator can easily handle a double machine and still have time left over for other tasks, such as the punching of teeth in strip from coils.

År 1992 tog vi över produkterna som Timanders Mekaniska Verkstad i Orsa hade utvecklat och tillverkat sedan ett 25 tal år sedan. Timanders hade flera patent på

Redan på 1920 talet hade grundaren av Timanders tagit patent på ett vedsågblad med en ojämn delning mellan sågtändera. Han utvecklade maskiner för sågbladsproduktionen på Orsa Sågbladsfabrik, som var störst i Sverige på den tiden. Hans praktiska arbete med maskinerna ledde till ständiga förbättringar. Det är i den andan vi vill fortsätta också.

I dag har vi vår verkstad i egna lokaler i Orsa. Vi konstruerar och har i stort sett all tillverkning själv.
